Recycling plastic in mountain areas, above 3,000 meters altitude, has never been easy.
ReTraze spent years building a comericlized recycling supply chain, working with NGOs, rewarding local commu-
nities and small balers to collect discarded bottles, and using backhaul trucks to cut carbon emissions.
The bottles travel thousands of miles to the east of China, where they are transformed into traceable, long-last-
ing, and multi-functional filament and staple yarn.
This is how waste from remote peaks is reborn into high-performance materials.
